In short: we contact people at manufacturing companies about work that may fit their role, using business contact details from public sources and business data providers. Reply to any email from us to stop, and we won't contact you again.
Who we are
Vectis Works builds shop-floor dashboards, data systems and software for manufacturers. This policy covers this website, vectistec.com, and the business emails we send from it. "We" and "us" mean Vectis Works, 100 Powell Place #1170, Nashville, TN 37204.
How we reach out
We contact people at manufacturing companies whose roles relate to our work, such as operations, plant, engineering and IT leaders. We reach you at your work email address, and occasionally by phone or by mail to your business address. We only reach out when we think our work could be relevant to your company, and we stop when you ask.
What we collect
- Business contact details: your name, job title, employer, work email address, business phone number and professional profile link, where available.
- Company information: your company's name, website, industry, size, location and business address.
- Public business activity: things your company has made public, such as job postings, news coverage and public posts.
- Email checks: whether your work address can receive mail, so we don't send to addresses that bounce.
- Our correspondence: your replies and notes about our conversations.
- Website visits: this site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs, such as IP address and browser type, to deliver and protect the site. The site loads its typeface from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address.
We don't collect sensitive information such as health details, financial account numbers or government ID numbers.
Where it comes from
- Public sources, such as company websites, job boards, news sites and professional networking profiles.
- Commercial providers of business contact and company data.
- You, when you reply to us, fill in a contact form or speak with us.
How we use it
- To judge whether our services could be relevant to your company.
- To contact you at work about those services.
- To check that an email address is valid before we send to it.
- To reply to you and, if you ask, to discuss or provide our services.
- To keep our do-not-contact list, so opt-out requests are honored.
- To keep our systems secure and meet our legal obligations.
We don't track whether you open our emails.
How to stop hearing from us
Reply to any email from us and say so. Any wording works, and so does telling the person who calls you. We stop promptly, and always within 10 business days. We then keep your name and email address on a do-not-contact list, so you aren't contacted again even if your details reach us from another source.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it with other companies for their own marketing or for targeted advertising. We share it only with:
- Service providers who work on our behalf, such as email and mailbox providers, email verification services, business data providers, and hosting and data storage providers. They may use it only to provide their services to us.
- Authorities or other parties when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, property or safety.
- A buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganized, who must keep protecting it as this policy describes.
How long we keep it
We keep business contact information while it's useful for contacting businesses, and we remove or refresh records that go out of date. If you become a client, we keep records for as long as our work together and our legal and accounting obligations require. Do-not-contact entries are kept for as long as we contact businesses, so your request keeps being honored.
How we protect it
We limit access to the people who need it and use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No system is completely secure, so we can't promise absolute security.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you and where it came from;
- correct information that's wrong;
- delete your information, apart from the do-not-contact entry we need to keep honoring your request.
Depending on where you live, state privacy laws such as California's may give you further rights, including the right to know about, correct and delete your information and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do neither. We won't treat you differently for using any of these rights.
To make a request, reply to any email from us, use the contact form on vectisworks.com, or write to the address below. We may ask you to confirm the email address we contacted so we can verify the request, and we'll respond within the time the law allows. An authorized agent may also make a request for you.
